Pakita, a sweet and lovable dog, was discovered on the streets and brought to El Arca Animal Partido de Mar Chiquita in Argentina. The shelter volunteers adored her, especially Silvia Ferreyra. However, Pakita’s age made it difficult for her to find a forever home.

As time passed, Pakita became sadder and more withdrawn in her kennel. She lost weight and didn’t eat much, which worried the volunteers at El Arca.

For two years, the volunteers tried everything to find Pakita a loving home, but they had no luck. They decided to use social media to spread the word, posting Pakita’s photo and story on Facebook. However, taking a photo was a challenge, as Pakita would tremble and hide in the corner.

After the Facebook post, Ferreyra received a message from a woman claiming that Pakita belonged to her son, Ariel Naveira. She said he had been searching for Pakita for a long time.

Ariel couldn’t believe that Pakita had been found after all this time. He went to the shelter the next day, hoping it was really her. The volunteers brought Pakita to him, and he instantly recognized her. However, Pakita seemed hesitant and unsure.

As Pakita sniffed around, she suddenly realized that Ariel was her long-lost owner. Overjoyed, she dropped to the floor, wagging her tail and eagerly awaiting belly rubs from her favorite person in the world. After two long years, Pakita and Ariel were finally reunited, and it was a dream come true.
